I.Ö. Mekaniska ABProducer of bird rings/bands |
| I.Ö. Mekaniska was founded in 1949 by Per-Erik Isaksson and Carl Gustav Öhman. Five years later they made their first bird rings, for Ottenby Bird Observatory on the island of Öland in southern Sweden. Today the company makes about four million bird rings a year. It is lead by Andreas Bylund and Mats Lindberg. We deliver bird rings to more than 20 european countries, and also to ringing centres in Asia, Africa, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand. Almost all of our rings are pre-opened, materials used are aluminium and steel. The rings are mounted on plastic strings, fibre stripes or plastic tubes. |
